SOFTWARE BUILT ON PROOF

Where logic meets possibility.

Karamatics builds software the way rigorous engineering always has: define the problem precisely, model it faithfully, then build only what the model demands. The result is a growing family of software products and systems, built for teams who need more than a demo.

Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas.

What we do

Every engagement follows the same method: define the problem precisely, model it faithfully, then build only what the model requires. What emerges spans software products, platforms and the intelligent systems behind them — engineered to be provably right, not just working.

Platforms and products

Web, mobile and cloud systems built for clarity: clean interfaces over services that are observable, secure and easy to change.

interface → service → data

  • Cloud architecture
  • APIs and integrations
  • Security and reliability

Simplicity is prerequisite for reliability.

If you're thinking without writing, you only think you're thinking.

How we work

Every engagement follows the same disciplined path, from a precise question to a system that keeps working after we leave.

  1. Define

We write down the problem, its constraints and how success will be measured. Ambiguity is cheapest to fix here.

  2. Model

We represent the problem mathematically or structurally, and choose the simplest model that captures what matters.

  3. Build

We implement in small, reviewed increments, with design decisions recorded alongside the code.

  4. Verify

We test against the model, the data and the edge cases, and measure results against the criteria set at the start.

  5. Evolve

We ship, observe and refine. The system is documented and handed over in a state your team can own.

We can only see a short distance ahead, but we can see plenty there that needs to be done.

Alan Turing, Computing Machinery and Intelligence, 1950

Mathematics is how we think. Software is what we build.

Karamatics exists for people who suspect that most software problems are, underneath, modeling problems. We work in the space between mathematics and engineering, building a growing family of our own products alongside client work — each one built to be correct before it is built to be fast.

Mathematics, rightly viewed, possesses not only truth, but supreme beauty.

Bertrand Russell, The Study of Mathematics, 1907
  • Reason first

We state assumptions, constraints and success criteria before we write code, so every decision has a reason you can inspect.

  • Constraints shape the design

Budget, latency, data quality and people are part of the problem. We design within them instead of around them.

  • Small pieces that add up

Verified components, combined carefully, are easier to trust than one large leap.

  • Built to last

Clear structure, honest documentation and tests that mean something, so the system stays useful long after launch.

Make it work, make it right, make it fast.

Kent Beck, on the discipline behind test-driven development
